How to Apply

Follow these steps to request utility assistance

Gather Documents

Collect your ID, proof of residency, household income documentation, and the utility bill you need help with.

Submit Application

Fill out our application form online or visit our office during business hours.

Review Process

Our staff reviews applications and can approve assistance requests that meet our guidelines. Approval is based on need and available funds.

Direct Payment

If approved, we pay the utility company directly. Funds are not given to applicants.

Requirements

Required Documentation

  • Photo ID (driver's license, state ID, etc.)
  • Proof of residency in Skiatook, Sperry, or Avant
  • Proof of household income for all adults
  • Original utility bill in applicant's name
  • Shutoff notice (if applicable)

Important Requirements

  • Utility bill must be in the applicant's name
  • Must meet household income qualification guidelines
  • Cannot have received utility assistance from SEAC within the last 12 months
  • Must have attempted payment arrangements with utility company

Assistance Limits

Assistance limits and eligibility are determined on a case-by-case basis depending on available funding and individual circumstances.
